SG E-Learning Survey

Please, click on the link below to take a short survey.
It's only 10 questions and should take about 10-15 min to finish.

Why a survey?
Our Educational Technology Department (namely, the guy behind the shades) would like to know if St. Gab's teachers would like to know more about E-learning and, if yes, how they would like to use it in their classrooms.

It will also give us an idea how much E-learning, or technology, is already being used in class - maybe you'd like to use a blog like this in class; we can make your work easier.

Thanks for all your help.

When you finish the survey, please come back and tell us what you thought of it by clicking the comments link below.

Example about Gadgets on my Blog

Vichayanun's Web Blog for Mr.Pfrang's e-Portfolio class: Gadgets on your Blog

This is a fine example of the work I assigned the class. I hope Vichayanun doesn't mind if I use this to show students in the second term how it should be done.

There is only one or two things that I might add to make this blog even better - that would be to add a list of blogs that you follow (read regularly) or a list of links to web pages that you find interesting. The gadgets for these can be found on the Layout page.

Another thing, since this is an e-portfolio, it should show examples of work that you have done in school, or certificates you have earned. These can be scanned and uploaded as pictures inside your post with a description of what it is or how you got it.

Maybe, we'll see an example in a future post from Victor(?)

Adding a picture to your post

Here's a picture my wife painted.
But how did I get it into my post? Let's take a look at what Blogger Help has to say...

"How do I post pictures?"

You can now upload photos to your blog(s) using Blogger Images; just click the image icon in the post editor's toolbar.

When you click this icon, you'll get a window that allows you to select an image or multiple images from your computer. Click the Browse button to locate the ones you want. Alternatively, you can enter the URL of an image that's already online and insert it into your post. If you click the link to choose a layout, you can customize the way your images will appear in your post - to the left, center, or right. You can even adjust the size.

Gadgets on my Blog

About this post and your gadgets.
First, decide on a title - it should be something about Gadgets. Then introduce yourself and then explain what this blog is about and why you are making it.
Secondly, your blog will include at least two gadgets.
  • One of the Gadgets must be a Blog List or Followers Gadget.
  • The other has to be something else; from another category, like a news, tools, communication, etc.
  • You will not be graded for game gadgets!
  • In your post, tell me by explaining in a paragraph or two:
  1. Why you chose those gadgets and the name of the gadget.
  2. How they are useful to people visiting your post and to yourself.
  3. The Gadets Mr. Pfrang will grade will be at the top of your blog. You may add a game or music gadget, but they must be below the two I am grading.
These are not questions to answer but things you must explain in your post in paragraph form! You will probably need at least two paragraphs.

Getting locked out

Some students have been getting locked out of their blog because Bloger.com thinks SG is spamming them. You need to be careful about what characters you use in your name and title. If you use strange characters to make funny faces Blogger.com might think you are a spam bot and lock your blog. You'll then need to write to them and request permission to unlock your blog.

If you get locked out of your blog, tell Miss Kanya or Mr. Pfrang to help you unlock it.
